Cement brand spreads joy through acts of kindness in run-up to Bohag Bihu

GUWAHATI: In a heartwarming display of compassion and community spirit, a prominent cement brand in Northeast, has embarked on a mission to spread joy and generosity during the festive season of Bohag Bihu.

Transforming their celebrations into a season of giving, Topcem Cement has extended its outreach to inmates of old age homes, child care homes, and institutions catering to specially-abled children.

Kicking off the Topcem Bohag Bihu 2024 festivities on Saturday, the first activity was organised at the Ashadeep Rehabilitation Centre in Boko.

The event featured the distribution of gifts, traditional Bihu delicacies such as pitha and laaru, along with captivating Bihu cultural performances.

Similar initiatives are scheduled to take place at various locations including Pramod Talukdar Memorial Home, Sishu Sarothi in Guwahati, Assam Shishu Kalyan Sadan, Ma Kamakhya Old Age Home, Priyo Bondhu Bohumukhi Vidyalaya, Kalyani Nivas, Amar Ghor, Seneh, and Santaneer across Kamrup (M) and Kamrup districts, spanning over five days.

Reflecting on this noble endeavour, Dr Anil Kapur, President of Sales & Marketing at Meghalaya Cements, expressed gratitude towards the participating institutions for allowing Topcem Cement to associate with them.

He affirmed the brand’s commitment to sustaining this meaningful association in the future.

The initiative underscores the company’s dedication to fostering genuine joy and happiness among the residents of old age homes, child care centres, and institutions for specially-abled children.
