GUWAHATI: State-level interviews for applicants of the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhian (CMAAA) will commence from February 28 in all districts of Assam.
The time and venue for district-level interviews for various sector – agriculture, veterinary, fishery, and others – will be communicated to applicants via messages/email, a statement issued by the government said on Sunday.
The applicants are also advised to visit cmaaa.assam.gov.in for interview-related queries, it specifically mentioned.
As of now, 104,091 applications out of 2,29,145 registrations are under consideration for Phase I of the scheme.
The government stated that among them, 559 candidates are professional degree holders who have applied for the Rs 5 lakh scheme.
A total of 925 district-level officials are participating in over 150 district-level committees tasked with selecting candidates across 35 districts.
Meanwhile, a two-day training session for committee members concluded successfully at the Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati.
Officials are undergoing detailed training in conducting interviews and managing the online portal cmaaa.assam.gov.in at the state level, under Ravi Kota IAS, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries department, and other senior department officials.
The scheme aims to create 2 lakh entrepreneurs over the next two financial years, providing benefits of Rs 2 lakh/Rs 5 lakh along with handholding and incubation services.
It has received enthusiastic responses from the educated unemployed youth of the state.
During a recent cabinet meeting on February 23, the constitution of the CMAAA Society was approved to facilitate mission-mode action for the implementation of the scheme.
