Tourism activities in the Kohora (Central) Range of Assam’s Kaziranga National Park have been temporarily suspended from March 16 to March 19, in view of the adverse weather conditions.
As per a notice issued by the Divisional Forest Officer, Eastern Assam Wildlife Division, on Monday, both jeep safaris and elephant rides in the Kohora Range will remain closed during this period due to adverse weather conditions and administrative reasons.
Authorities said the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of tourists and park personnel. Safari services are expected to resume after March 19, depending on weather conditions and clearance from park authorities.
The temporary suspension will also give park authorities time to manage operations safely during the period of adverse weather.
