Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha flagged off 24 Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances in Agartala on Sunday, in a bid to build a stronger, more accessible, and responsive healthcare system for the people of the state.
The ambulances are equipped with all essential life-saving equipment, designed to enhance the state’s response to road accidents and medical emergencies.
Speaking at the flagging-off ceremony, CM Saha said that the government does not want to compromise on any aspect of health facilities and that the initiative has been dedicated to the people of Tripura.
The initiative is aimed at improving state’s rapid response, timely trauma treatment and patient transport system in emergency situations.

CM Manik Saha, in a post on X said, “Today we have launched 24 new ambulances equipped with Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) facilities. Out of these, 20 ambulances are dedicated for trauma care and the remaining 4 will be connected to the 102 helpline.”
“This initiative will significantly improve the state’s rapid response, timely trauma treatment and patient transport system in emergency situations. Through this, it will be possible to quickly reach critical medical assistance to different parts of the state,” he added.
Further, according to the Chief Minister, the modern ambulances will play a vital role in saving lives, especially in road accidents and other medical emergencies, and will make the state’s health services more effective and dynamic.
