Itanagar: Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in several parts of Arunachal Pradesh, according to a weather advisory issued on Saturday.
The weather department has sounded an ‘orange’ alert for the next 24 hours, forecasting moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms and gusty winds across several districts in the state.
Rainfall intensity may vary between 5 mm and 15 mm per hour, which could result in waterlogging in low-lying areas and cause traffic disruptions at certain places, the advisory noted.
Although no significant damage to buildings, communication networks, or power infrastructure is anticipated, authorities have advised officials to closely monitor the situation and manage traffic if required.
