The Kajir Ronghangpi Heritage Fair 2026 is all set to take place from March 7 to 10 at Tribal Treats in Bogorijuri in Assam’s Kaziranga. The four-day event aims to create a unique platform that integrates indigenous heritage, biodiversity, sustainable livelihoods, and responsible tourism.
The fair is expected to draw over 5,000 visitors, including tourists, policymakers, conservationists, entrepreneurs, and institutional buyers from across India.
According to a representative of the organisers, “The Kajir Ronghangpi Heritage Fair” is a collective effort to celebrate indigenous heritage while strengthening sustainable livelihoods and responsible tourism in the Kaziranga-Karbi Anglong Landscape. By bringing together communities, institutions and markets, we aim to create a platform where conservation, culture and commerce move forward together.”

The event is being organised by the Kajir Ronghangpi Heritage Fair Organising Committee, in collaboration with the District Administration representatives from the Kaziranga–Karbi Anglong landscape (Golaghat, Nagaon and Karbi Anglong districts), Tourism and Forest Department officials, Biodiversity Management Committees, community institutions and producer groups and leading conservation and research organizations.
Senior government and institutional representatives are expected to attend the formal inauguration on March 7 at 3 pm, reflecting the fair’s growing significance as a regional development platform.
The Organising Committee brings together leaders from community institutions, biodiversity governance bodies, conservation organisations, and business facilitation partners active in the Kaziranga-Karbi Anglong region.
