According to an order issued by Personnel Department Secretary Monita Borgohain, Home and Political Commissioner and Secretary Partha Pratim Majumdar has been posted as the new District Commissioner (DC) of Bajali.

The current Bajali DC, Mridul Kumar Das, has been reassigned as Additional Secretary to the Home & Political and Women & Child Development Departments. He will also serve as the State Coordinator of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and Chief Executive Officer of the e-Foreigners Tribunal Project.

Narendra Kumar Shah, who was serving as Director of Employment and Craftsmen Training, has been moved to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat as Secretary.

The current incumbent in that post, Aditya Vikram Yadav, has been appointed as the new District Commissioner of Lakhimpur.

Meanwhile, Lakhimpur DC Pronab Jit Kakoty has been transferred to the Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department as Additional Secretary and will also take charge as Director of Employment and Craftsmen Training.

In another change, General Administration Department Joint Secretary Preeti Kumari has been appointed as the new DC of West Karbi Anglong.

She replaces Saranga Pani Sarma, who has been transferred to the Transport Department as Secretary and will also serve as the State Project Director of the Assam Inland Water Transport Development Society.

Finance Department Joint Secretary Ayushi Jain has been posted as the District Commissioner of Darrang. The outgoing Darrang DC, Pubali Gohain, will now serve as the new DC of Golaghat.

The current Golaghat DC, Parag Kumar Kakaty, has been reassigned as Additional Secretary in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department and Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).

Meenakshi Das Nath has been relieved of her responsibilities as Additional CEO of ASDMA but will continue to serve as Secretary in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department and as Project Director of the Assam Integrated River Basin Management Project.
