Apple on Wednesday unveiled the 13-inch MacBook Neo, a new addition to its laptop lineup positioned as an affordable Mac with all-day battery life and enhanced on-device AI capabilities powered by the A18 Pro chip.
The MacBook Neo features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2408×1506, brightness of up to 500 nits and support for one billion colours, delivering sharp text and vivid visuals.
Weighing just 2.7 pounds, the laptop is built with a durable aluminium enclosure and will be available in four colours — blush, indigo, silver and citrus.
At its core is the A18 Pro processor, designed to handle everyday tasks such as web browsing, document creation, content streaming and photo editing, while also supporting advanced on-device AI functions, including enhanced photo effects.
Apple said the device offers up to 16 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The laptop is equipped with a 1080p FaceTime HD camera with optimised image processing for clearer video calls, along with dual microphones.
Audio output comes from dual side-firing speakers with Spatial Audio support for an immersive listening experience.
