Shillong: The 35th JK Architect of the Year Awards will begin with a Jury Meeting and Entries Exhibition in Shillong on March 13 and 14, bringing together leading architects, industry professionals and students for a two-day showcase of contemporary architectural excellence.
Organised by JK Cement Ltd, the event will feature an exhibition of shortlisted projects competing across 13 award categories.
Eminent architects from India and abroad will participate in the jury deliberations, evaluating entries and engaging in detailed discussions on design innovation, sustainability and emerging trends in architecture.

Architecture students from colleges in and around Shillong will also attend the exhibition, offering them an opportunity to engage with cutting-edge designs and interact with senior professionals from the field.
The programme will conclude with the Winner’s Announcement Ceremony on March 14, which is expected to be attended by government officials, local architects and key figures from the construction and infrastructure sector.
Rana Pratap Singh, Administrator of JK Architect of the Year Awards, said the event aims to promote collaboration and inspire the next generation of architects while recognising excellence in the profession.
The annual awards are regarded as one of the most prestigious platforms in the country’s architecture calendar, celebrating innovation, creativity and leadership in architectural design.
