Shillong: The Meghalaya State Skills Development Society (MSSDS) will launch Phase II of its recruitment drives across the Garo Hills region in March 2026, expanding its statewide employment facilitation programme to cover more blocks and communities.
Officials said the initiative aims to strengthen outreach in the region and connect youth with verified employment opportunities across local, national and overseas markets.
Candidates who registered during Phase I have been informed that re-registration is not required and have been advised to follow official updates regarding venue schedules and employer participation.
The recruitment drives will be conducted free of cost.
The drives will be open to candidates who have completed Class 10, Class 12, ITI, diploma courses and graduation, with opportunities spanning multiple sectors and offering structured pathways for employment and career advancement.
According to the district-wise schedule, the drives in East Garo Hills will be held on March 6 at the Samanda C&RD Block Office and on March 10 at the Songsak C&RD Block Office. Enquiries can be made at 80141 40721.
In North Garo Hills, the recruitment drive will take place on March 11 at the Kharkutta Reserve Gittim Community Hall. Candidates may contact 70051 94300 for details.
For South Garo Hills, the schedule includes March 9 at the Chokpot Block Office and March 10 at Acheng Rangmanpa College, Mahendraganj.

In West Garo Hills, drives will be conducted on March 3 at the Tikrikilla Old Block Office, March 5 at Phulbari Shymnagar Community Hall, March 7 at Rajabala Higher Secondary School compound, and March 9 at the Bakdil Office Conference Hall, Chandmari, Tura.

MSSDS officials said the Phase II rollout reaffirms the organisation’s commitment to connecting Meghalaya’s youth with employment opportunities and ensuring that access to jobs and skill-based careers is not limited by geography.
The programme is being implemented under the Department of Labour, Employment and Skill Development, Government of Meghalaya, and has been approved by Jagdish Chelani, Executive Director, MSSDS.
