Shillong: The Meghalaya Cricket Association has announced a 15-player women’s squad for the BCCI U-23 Women’s One Day Trophy 2025–26 (plate group), scheduled to take place next month.
The side will be led by Monica L Phawa, with Suriti Kumari Ray appointed as her deputy. Both players bring senior-level experience, having previously represented Meghalaya at the senior women’s level.
Meghalaya’s fixtures in the plate group will all be hosted in Chandigarh.
The team will open its campaign against Sikkim on March 3, and will also face Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur during the tournament.
Preparations for the competition will begin with a training camp from February 23 to 27 at the MCA Ground in Polo, Shillong.
Players and support staff based outside Shillong, including standby members, have been instructed to arrive in the city by the evening of February 22.

The squad is scheduled to depart directly for Chandigarh from Shillong on February 28.
The selected players are Monica L Phawa, Suriti Kumari Ray, Ankita Sharma, Indariakor Kharwanniang, Mansi Anand, Monica Singh, Saradafica Kharbani, Fennysha Nongrum, Ritreki Pohshna, Cheanchi K Sangma, Janika Marak, Abiezer K Syiem, Chandni K Sahani, Blaridahun Dkhar and Iaphilaribha Diengdoh. The standby list includes Neelam Roy, Yoolang Suting, Fullnessy Mawlong, Rikmanchi M Sangma and Ronjoli Basumatary.
The support staff comprises head coach Hemant Roy, assistant coach Ashish Dasgupta, physiotherapist Sushma Thapa, trainer Apurva D Nandkarni and team manager Baiahunlang Mylliemngap.
