Arunachal Pradesh archers clinch bronze at Khelo India Inter-SAI Championship

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh archers brought pride to the state by clinching a bronze medal at the Khelo India Inter-SAI National Archery Championship 2025–26.

The medal-winning performance was delivered by Team Arunachal Pradesh, led by members of the Tawang District Archery Association (TDAA) — Thutan Dawa, Sonam, and Lobsang Tenzin. Their achievement reflects strong discipline, teamwork, and dedication to the sport.

“Heartiest congratulations to the Arunachal Archers for clinching Bronze at the Khelo India Inter-SAI National Archery Championship 2025–26,” CM Khandu posted on X.

Adding to the state’s success, the Sub-Junior Girls’ Team of Arunachal Pradesh also secured a bronze medal in the championship. Their performance highlights the growing talent pool and promising future of archery in the state.

Sports officials and well-wishers across Arunachal Pradesh have congratulated the athletes for their outstanding achievement, praising their hard work and commitment.

The twin bronze medal victories are being seen as a major boost for archery development in the state and an inspiration for young sportspersons to pursue excellence at the national level.

The achievement has been widely appreciated by the Arunachal Archery Association, the Archery Association of India, and the Sports Authority of India, all of whom commended the athletes for their dedication and impressive performance on the national stage.
