Aizawl: The Budget Session of the Mizoram Legislative Assembly is scheduled to commence on February 17, an official said on Monday.
The budget session of the state legislative assembly has been summoned by Mizoram Governor Gen Vijay Kumar Singh.
The detailed programme of the session, including the date for tabling the Budget for the 2026–27 fiscal, will be finalised by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) headed by Speaker Lalbiakzama, according to Lalthangmawia, Additional Secretary of the Assembly Secretariat.
He said the BAC meeting to finalise the schedule has not yet been convened and will also determine the duration of the session based on the volume of official business.
During the session, CM Lalduhoma, who also holds the finance portfolio, is scheduled to present the third annual state budget.

This will be the sixth session of the ninth Mizoram Assembly since the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) government, led by Chief Minister Lalduhoma, assumed office in December 2023.
