Dambuk (Arunachal Pradesh): The three-day JK Tyre Orange 4×4 Fury kicked off in Arunachal Pradesh on Friday, bringing together some of India’s top off-road racers along with international competitors for one of the country’s toughest motorsport events.
The latest edition has drawn leading Indian teams as well as overseas participants from Thailand, Malaysia and Romania, who will compete in the Pro Mod Xtreme and Stock categories.
The event is designed to push both drivers and machines to their limits, testing precision driving, teamwork, endurance and nerves across challenging terrain.
The competition will unfold over a series of technically demanding stages spread across the Dambuk region.
Stage One takes competitors through Kherem, Alubari, Bhekuliang and Haju Bridge before looping back to Alubari.
Stage Two connects Alubari with Haju Bridge and Balijan, followed by Stage Three in the rugged Bomjir sector.
The final leg, Stage Four, will pass through Sisiri to Siluk and culminate in Dambuk.
The event features high-performance 4×4 vehicles equipped with advanced suspension systems, reinforced off-road tyres, skid plates, winches and low-range gear sets, highlighting the engineering excellence required to tackle extreme off-road conditions.
While the Pro Mod Xtreme category showcases purpose-built, heavily modified machines designed for maximum performance, the Stock category focuses on production-based 4×4 vehicles that compete with limited but strategic upgrades, emphasising driving skill and reliability in challenging environments.
