Bomdila: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has lauded ‘Raag-Vista’, a new initiative launched at the newly renovated District Museum at Bomdila in West Kameng district, calling it a “truly praiseworthy effort” that creates opportunities for unemployed youth, promotes cultural learning among children, and offers a sustainable model for museum upkeep.

“A truly praiseworthy initiative, creating opportunities for unemployed youth, nurturing cultural learning among children, and building a sustainable model for the maintenance of the museum,” CM Khandu said in a post on X.

Bomdila ADC Dechin Droka inaugurated the music training institute established in the district museum on Tuesday.

Conceptualised by Bomdila Deputy Commissioner Akriti Sagar, the Raag-Vista has transformed the museum into a lively cultural hub that blends music education with heritage awareness.

Under the guidance of music trainer Tsering Soisow, children are receiving structured lessons in guitar, piano, drums, vocals and other disciplines, helping them develop confidence and creativity beyond the academic sphere.

By integrating skill development with heritage preservation, the Raag-Vista initiative is enhancing youth engagement and setting a benchmark for cultural sustainability in the region, the chief minister said.

The chief minister also encouraged parents and residents to enrol their children and support the initiative, describing it as a meaningful step towards strengthening community participation in cultural development.
