Film actor-director Siddhanth Kapoor appeared before the Mumbai Police on Tuesday to record a statement in connection with a high-value drug seizure investigation, officials confirmed.
The summons follows the listing of his name in the inquiry into a drugs racket valued at approximately Rs. 252 crore.
Siddhanth Kapoor, the son of actor Shakti Kapoor and brother of actress Shraddha Kapoor, reported to the Ghatkopar unit of the Anti‑Narcotics Cell (ANC) in Mumbai as part of the ongoing probe.
Officials said the investigating officer is recording his statement.
In addition to Kapoor, influencer Orhan Awatramani (popularly known as “Orry”) has been summoned to appear on November 26, following earlier delay.

According to police sources, Kapoor’s name emerged during questioning of the key accused, Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh (alias “Lavish”), who allegedly linked the case to both domestic and overseas parties involving celebrities.
Earlier, in 2022, Kapoor was reportedly arrested in Bengaluru on charges of drug consumption — a fact that has added public interest to the development.
The ANC has stated that at this stage, the questioning is preliminary and does not necessarily imply guilt.
Decisions on formal charges or witness status will follow once all statements and evidence are verified.
