New Delhi: KL Rahul will lead India in the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa after regular captain Shubman Gill was ruled out due to a neck injury he suffered during the first Test in Kolkata.
Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been named vice-captain for the series, which begins on November 30 in Ranchi, before moving to Raipur on December 3 and Visakhapatnam on December 6.
The squad features senior stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, along with youngsters Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav form the core of the spin attack, while Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana handle pace duties.
