Guwahati: The much-anticipated HR Conclave 5.0 successfully brought together industry leaders, HR strategists, and technology innovators for a full-day conclave centered on the theme “Recruitment 5.0: AI and Automation Redefining Talent Acquisition.”

The event highlighted how artificial intelligence and automation are reshaping workforce readiness, employability, and the evolving responsibilities of HR professionals.

The conclave commenced with registration followed by a networking tea, allowing delegates to connect and exchange insights. The formal proceedings began with lamp lighting, followed by an opening remark, a welcome speech, and thought sharing that set an inspiring tone for the day.

The first panel discussion, held under the theme “Recruitment 5.0 – AI and Automation Redefining Talent Acquisition” and focusing on the topic “AI as a Catalyst for Skilling, Career Readiness, and Employability,” featured an engaging line-up of thought leaders. Participating in the session were Ashish Banka, Global Lead – TA & HRBP, Cradlewise (Moderator); Rajendra Lingwal, Sr VP – HR, Persistent Systems; Mustafa Kamal Laskar, Head of Corporate HR – NE, Star Cement Ltd.; Anjan Pathak, CTO, Vantage Circle; Nandini Basu Paul, Director – HR Business, LTI Mindtree; and Subba Gonella, Global Divisional Manager – HR, Rakuten Symphony.

The panelists explored how AI-driven tools are accelerating the upskilling ecosystem and increasing employability for future generations.

The second panel discussion, held under the theme “Recruitment 5.0 – AI and Automation Redefining Talent Acquisition” and centered on the topic “The Future Role of HR in an AI-Driven Recruitment Era,” brought together an esteemed group of HR leaders and industry experts.

Moderated by Prabhanjan Prasoon, Sr Director – TA, Birlasoft, the panel featured Priyanka Sinha, Head – Employee Relations, Compliance & Payroll, Myntra; Manoj K Prasad, VP – Talent Transformation, Reliance Industries Ltd.; Jagadamba B, Head – TA, Infiniti Retail Ltd. (Croma); Abhishek Arun, Sr VP – HR, HDFC Bank Ltd.; and Lengdon Rajkhowa, HR Manager, Marico Ltd.

Speakers discussed how HR professionals must evolve into strategic partners who leverage digital intelligence to drive organizational growth.

Speaking on the significance of the conclave, Assam down town University Vice-Chancellor Dr. N.C. Talukdar said:  “HR Conclave 5.0 reflects our commitment to preparing the next generation for a rapidly changing world. As AI transforms industries, it is essential that academic institutions and industry leaders work together to build a workforce that is skilled, adaptable, and future-ready.”

Dr Rimjhim Baruah Borah, Director (i/c, Directorate of Career Advancement at Assam down town University, said: “This conclave is not just a discussion forum, it is a bridge between learning and employability. The insights shared today will empower students, professionals, and organizations to embrace technological advancements and drive meaningful transformation in the HR landscape.”

The event also featured a felicitation of judges and panel experts, followed by the prestigious HR Award Ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions in the field of human resources.

The conclave concluded with a vote of thanks and a networking lunch that provided a platform for participants to further engage with industry leaders.
