Gangtok: Sikkim is all set to host the 13th International Tourism Mart (ITM) in Gangtok from November 13 to 16.
Sikkim Tourism Minister T. T. Bhutia said that chief ministers, tourism ministers, and key stakeholders from all Northeastern states, along with around 300 international delegates, are expected to participate in the event.
The International Tourism Mart is being organised by the Sikkim Tourism and Civil Aviation Department in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Tourism.
Bhutia said inclusion of the North Eastern Bazar in the ITM will serve as a platform to showcase and promote local products.
Additional Chief Secretary C. S. Rao said that delegates from 18 countries are expected to participate in the 13th ITM in Gangtok.

Sikkim Tourism secretary Neeraj Pradhan said the International Tourism Mart will provide a meaningful platform to promote local products, ideas, and innovations.
He stated that the presence of global participants offers a unique opportunity for local stakeholders to present their work and enhance Sikkim’s visibility on the global tourism map.
The 12th edition of ITM was held in Assam’s Kaziranga.
An annual event organised by the Union Ministry of Tourism, it serves as a vital platform, bringing together tourism businesses and entrepreneurs from the eight northeastern states to foster collaboration and interactions among buyers, sellers, media, government agencies and other stakeholders.
