Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday inaugurated the newly commissioned Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) LPG bottling plant at Papu Nallah in Naharlagun.

“Heartiest congratulations to M/s BA Enterprises on this remarkable milestone. The new facility will not only enhance LPG availability but also stand as a testament to the growing entrepreneurial spirit in our state,” CM Khandu posted on X.

The Chief Minister said that after the closure of the bottling plant in Kimin, gas agencies in Arunachal Pradesh had been facing difficulties in ensuring timely distribution of LPG cylinders, as supplies had to be sourced from Assam.

He added that the commissioning of the new plant would bring much-needed relief to around 95 gas agencies operating across the state.

He described the project as a reflection of “Atmanirbhar Arunachal in action,” highlighting that it will create employment opportunities, boost local economic activity, and reinforce the region’s industrial foundation.

Khandu further said that ensuring a steady and reliable LPG supply is in line with the Government of India’s vision of providing clean energy access to all.
