Agartala: The West Majlishpur Gram Panchayat under Jirania RD Block in West Tripura district has bagged the prestigious Silver Award at the national level for excellence in e-Governance.
The award was presented during the 28th National Conference on e-Governance 2025, held at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on Monday.
Organized jointly by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the annual conference recognizes outstanding contributions to innovative governance practices across India.
Hailing the achievement, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha wrote, “A landmark achievement for Tripura. West Majlishpur Gram Panchayat under Jirania RD Block in West Tripura district has been conferred with the National level Silver Award at the 28th National Conference on e-Governance- 2025 at Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This reflects our commitment to delivering good governance.”
The award highlights sustained efforts toward strengthening e-Governance and ensuring citizen-centric service delivery at the grassroots level.

The West Majlishpur Gram Panchayat has been lauded for successfully implementing multiple digital initiatives aimed at empowering villagers, improving welfare scheme delivery, and fostering accountability in day-to-day administration.
