Gurugram: Panic gripped an upscale locality in Gurugram early Sunday after unidentified gunmen fired multiple rounds at the home of YouTuber Elvish Yadav.
The incident occurred between 5.30 am and 6 am, according to police reports.
Investigators said three assailants on a motorcycle unleashed more than two dozen bullets at the property before fleeing the scene.
The gunfire struck the ground floor and first floor of the building, but no injuries were reported.
Yadav, who won Bigg Boss OTT and often finds himself in controversy, resides on the second and third floors of the house.
He was not present during the shooting. Family members and a caretaker inside the house escaped unharmed.
Gurugram Police confirmed the incident in an official statement: “On 17.08.2025, at around 5:30–6:00 am., unknown individuals fired at a house in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sector-56. No casualties have been reported.”
Police teams rushed to the spot after the attack, collected forensic samples, and began scanning CCTV footage from nearby locations. Officials said a case is being registered, and legal action will follow once a formal complaint is filed by Yadav’s family.
Relatives said the influencer had not reported receiving any threats prior to the attack. He is currently out of Haryana on work-related travel.
Preliminary findings suggest that three armed men on a bike were behind the attack, and multiple teams have been deployed to trace them.
Elvish Yadav, who boasts millions of followers on social media, has faced legal troubles in the past.
In November 2023, he was booked by the Noida police under allegations of supplying snake venom as a recreational drug at parties.
The FIR, lodged by animal rights group People for Animals (PFA), named Yadav along with several others.

Following this, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched a money-laundering probe linked to the case, questioning him on various aspects, including the alleged procurement and use of snake venom at rave parties.
The YouTuber was later granted bail, and earlier this month, the Supreme Court stayed trial court proceedings in the matter.
His Special Leave Petition (SLP) is listed for hearing on September 23, as per the apex court’s online case status.
Yadav is being represented by senior advocate Mukta Gupta, assisted by advocates Raman Yadav and Aman Jha.
