Itanagar: The Eastern Air Command (EAC) of the Indian Air Force successfully concluded its Inter ALG (Advanced Landing Ground) Football Tournament on Tuesday in Itanagar, as part of its outreach programme aimed at fostering camaraderie between Air Force personnel and the local civilian population.
The final match saw a spirited contest between teams from Along and Pasighat, with Pasighat emerging victorious with a 4-2 win.
The tournament, which brought together Air Warriors and local football talent, was also aimed at nurturing sportsmanship and strengthening bonds in the region.
Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lieutenant General K.T. Parnaik (Retd) attended the final match as the chief guest, while Air Marshal Surat Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Air Command, served as the Chief Patron of the event.

Congratulating the players, the Governor commended their energy and dedication and encouraged everyone to make sports a part of their daily lives.
The tournament reflected the EAC’s continued efforts to engage with local communities through sports and cultural initiatives.
