The ‘Kaanta Laga’ fame actor Shefali Jariwala died in Mumbai late Friday at the age of 42.
The cause behind actor-model Jariwala’s death is yet to be ascertained and her body has been taken for postmortem, the Mumbai Police said on Saturday.
She was rushed to the hospital by her husband Parag Tyagi and three others. According to the reception staff at Mumbai’s Bellevue Hospital, Jariwala, 42, had died by the time she was brought in.
“Her body was found at her residence in Andheri. The police received the information at 1 am (Saturday). Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem. The cause of her death is not yet clear,” police stated.
Shefali Jariwala gained stardom after she appeared in the song ‘Kaanta Laga’ in 2002, which became a pop culture sensation.
She has worked in several music albums, as well as films since then.
Jariwala also appeared in the 2004 film ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra.
She also appeared on dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’ seasons 5 and 7, along with her husband, Parag Tyagi, whom she married in 2015.
She was also part of the popular reality show Bigg Boss’s 13th season.
The actress’s sudden death has left the entertainment industry and her fans in deep shock and heartbroken.
