New Delhi: Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman teamed up with renowned musician Pharrell Williams to create Yaara, a Punjabi-inspired track that debuted at Louis Vuitton’s ‘Summer 2025’ showcase in Paris.
The song, performed by singer Romy, seamlessly fused traditional Punjabi rhythms with contemporary beats, creating a vibrant soundtrack for the high-profile runway event held on Tuesday.
The event also marked Pharrell’s debut collection as Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Creative Director, with Yaara providing an energetic and culturally rich backdrop to the fashion extravaganza.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Rahman expressed his excitement about the intersection of music, fashion, and global culture.
“Working with Pharrell and being part of this incredible Louis Vuitton experience was unforgettable. Moments like these highlight the universal language of creativity and the joy of coming together to create something impactful,” Rahman said in a statement.
