Bajali: Bajali Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited, an FPC based in Assam‘s Bajali district, has reached a significant milestone by securing a Rs 6 lakh credit facility from Nabkisan Finance Limited, a subsidiary of NABARD.
This vital financial support, sanctioned on May 31, 2025, comes under the Credit Guarantee Fund supported by NabSanrakshan.
The financial assistance will be utilised for agri input trading and other agricultural trading activities aimed at strengthening the value chain for local farmers in the region.
The initiative falls under the Central Sector Scheme of Formation and Promotion of 10,000 FPOs, with NABARD Assam Regional Office acting as the implementing agency and Access Development Services serving as the Cluster-Based Business Organisation (CBBO).
Access Development Services, the CBBO, played a vital role throughout the entire credit facilitation process, providing consistent handholding support, coordinating documentation, and guiding the FPC through the verification and sanction stages.
On July 13, Shyam Jyoti Borgohain, the Business Development Manager (BDM) of Nabkisan, conducted a field verification visit to the Bajali Agro FPC.
The BDM expressed satisfaction with the FPC’s operational and financial documentation and recommended the FPC for further processing of the loan.
The credit support under the Credit Guarantee Fund by NabSanrakshan is expected to enhance the working capital capacity of the FPC, enabling the timely procurement and supply of quality inputs to farmers and fostering sustainable rural livelihoods.
