Guwahati: In a robust display of operational preparedness and joint combat capability, the Indian Army conducted a large-scale integrated field exercise, codenamed Teesta Prahar, at the Teesta Field Firing Range.
Held in challenging riverine terrain, the exercise tested the coordination and combat readiness of multiple arms and services under realistic battlefield conditions.
Infantry, Artillery, Armoured Corps, Mechanised Infantry, Para Special Forces, Army Aviation, Engineers, and Signals units all took part in the operation.
One of the key highlights of Teesta Prahar was the deployment and field validation of newly inducted next-generation weapon systems, military platforms, and advanced battlefield technologies, underscoring the Army’s ongoing push toward modernisation.
The exercise focused on enhancing interoperability and seamless integration across combat and support arms.
Tactical drills, battle simulations, and adaptive maneuvers were executed to refine the Army’s ability to respond to dynamic combat scenarios in complex terrain and adverse weather conditions.
Officials said the exercise reinforces the Indian Army’s commitment to maintaining all-terrain operational readiness, enhancing joint warfighting capabilities, and embracing cutting-edge technology to meet contemporary security challenges.
