Barpeta: In preparation for the NEET 2025 examination scheduled for May 4, the Barpeta District Administration has enforced prohibitory orders to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the national-level medical entrance test.
The order, issued by District Magistrate Rohan Kumar Jha, under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), is aimed at maintaining law and order and preventing any disruption or malpractice around the examination centres.
According to the directive, restrictions have been imposed around the nine designated NEET centres in the district.
The entry of unauthorised individuals and crowding within a 100-meter radius of these venues has been prohibited.
The order also bars examinees from carrying mobile phones, electronic gadgets, or any suspicious items into the examination halls.
Additionally, any attempt by individuals to assist candidates in using unfair means will be dealt with strictly.

These measures, effective immediately, will remain in place until the examination process concludes.
The district administration has urged full public cooperation and warned that violations of the order will invite legal action.
Officials emphasised that the restrictions are essential to safeguarding the integrity of the examination and providing a secure, distraction-free environment for candidates.
