Agartala: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, on Monday assured that the Centre will take necessary measures to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the Assam-Agartala National Highway (NH-8), said MP Biplab Kumar Deb.
NH-8, often referred to as Tripura’s lifeline, connects the state with the rest of India, playing a critical role in its transportation network.
In a social media post, Deb stated, “I met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari today and discussed four key issues related to Tripura’s road connectivity. I specifically requested urgent maintenance work on the NH-8 stretch between Churaibari and Panitilla in North Tripura district.”
