Film Kesari Chapter 2, directed by the debutante Karan Singh Tyagi, and produced by Dharma Production, Leo Media Collective and Cape of Good Films, is doing well at the box office since its release.
The film earned significantly good on its first Sunday, Day 3, collecting roughly Rs 12.64 crore, as per a Sacnilk report. The film earned Rs 7.75 crore on its first day and Rs 9.75 crore on the second.
These collections have given a good start to the film, reaching a total of Rs 30.21 crore within three days.
Akshay Kumar’s ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ which also stars R Madhavan and Ananya Panday released in cinemas on April 18.
The film sees the actor play the role of C. Sankaran Nair, a brave Indian lawyer who took on the British Empire in court.
The film also had a very limited release in just about 1,700 screens and is ideally a niche film, but due to its patriotic theme, it’s doing well in some small centres and two-tier, three-tier centres as well.

The movie is getting great reviews for its depiction of the raw and emotional reality of the past. The powerful historical drama has successfully revealed the cruelty of colonial rule and hit the right nerve of the audience.
