Guwahati: The armed forces’ 3,900-km motorcycle rally, “Shaurya Yatra,” continued its inspiring journey, departing from Guwahati, Assam, towards Siliguri in West Bengal on Sunday.

This rally, which commenced on March 10 from Vijaynagar in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district, aims to foster national integration and honor the sacrifices of the armed forces.

Organised under the theme “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” the 15-day rally will conclude on March 23 at the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat.

Along its route, the rally highlights themes of unity, courage, and national pride, while encouraging youth to join the armed forces.

In Guwahati, a special programme was held to commemorate the arrival of the rally participants.

The riders interacted with ex-servicemen who shared their inspiring stories of service and sacrifice. As a gesture of respect, the bikers felicitated the veterans during the event.

The rally was ceremonially flagged off by Lt. Gen. Abhijit S. Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding of 3 Corps, at the Rangapahar military station in Nagaland on Saturday.

This grand send-off followed its initial launch at Vijaynagar in Arunachal Pradesh, a strategic location near India’s easternmost frontier.

Comprising 12 motorbike enthusiasts, including personnel from the Indian Army and Assam Rifles, as well as local participants from Arunachal Pradesh, the rally has been engaging communities along its route.

It includes interactions with schoolchildren to inspire them to pursue careers in the armed forces, further strengthening bonds between the military and civilians.
