New Delhi: Actor Raveena Tandon has expressed outrage over a viral video showing a man filming Bollywood star Katrina Kaif during her holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.
Tandon condemned the act as “disgusting” and an invasion of what was meant to be a peaceful and spiritual moment for Katrina.
Katrina, who attended the Maha Kumbh on February 24 with her mother-in-law Veena Kaushal, was joined by several actors, including Raveena and her daughter Rasha Thadani, for the evening aarti ceremony.
The controversial video, shared widely on social media, shows the man recording Katrina while making a joke at her expense, drawing laughter from those around him.
In response to the video posted by an entertainment portal, Raveena commented, “This is disgusting. These kinds of people ruin a moment that is supposed to be peaceful and meaningful.”
Social media users echoed her sentiments, labelling the behaviour as “embarrassing,” “disrespectful,” and “mass bullying.”

Reports also surfaced of drone footage capturing Katrina being mobbed as she exited the water after performing the ritual, further highlighting concerns about privacy and safety for public figures during such events.
The Maha Kumbh, which concluded on February 26, saw the participation of numerous celebrities, including Vicky Kaushal, Sonali Bendre, Juhi Chawla, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, and Rajkummar Rao.
Despite the star-studded presence, incidents like this have sparked discussions on respecting personal space and privacy, even in public settings.
