Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh athletes Radha Bangsia, Lumter Uli and Achum Sangha secured Gold in the female group Poomsae event at the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu congratulated the trio on their achievements, which brought laurels to the state.
“So proud of Radha Bangsia, Lumter Uli, and Achum Sangha, who have brought glory to Arunachal Pradesh by winning #GoldMedal in the female group Poomsae event at 38th #NationalGames being held in Uttarakhand,” CM Khandu posted on X.

The chief minister said, “Their outstanding performance and synchronized precision in Taekwondo Poomsae have showcased their dedication, skill, and hard work on a national platform.”
He said, “This victory is a great moment not only for them but also for their coaches, supporters, and the entire sporting community. Congratulations and best wishes!”
Poomsae are choreographed patterns of Taekwondo techniques that demonstrate kicking, punching, and blocking.

The 38th edition of the National Games is currently being held in Uttarakhand with 28 states, eight union territories and the Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) participating.
The SSCB currently leads the standings with 71 medals – 42 gold, 16 silver and 13 bronze. Karnataka has 58 medals (30 gold, 12 silver and 16 bronze), is second in the medals tally.
Nagaland, Sikkim and Bihar are the only states yet to register a gold medal in the competition.
