Kohima: Nagaland’s Department of School Education (DoSE) will implement the SMILE App in all govt schools and establishments under DoSE from February 1 to improve the education system and school management.
The new app is aimed at promoting efficient administrative practices, improving data-driven decision-making and fostering a culture of accountability and transparency in the education system in the state.
The app is being implemented under the Nagaland education project — The Lighthouse (Nagaland Enhancing Classroom Teaching and Resources).
The app will be used by teachers and staff to mark daily attendance via kiosks at their respective institutions. To facilitate smooth functioning, the data/HR cell of the department in Kohima will monitor attendance data.
