Kohima: Nagaland Congress organised a protest rally as part of the ongoing ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Abhiyan’ to honour Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and uphold the core values enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
During the rally, S Supongmeren Jamir, Member of Parliament and president of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), condemned the recent comments made by BJP leaders against Dr. Ambedkar, the Father of the Constitution.
Jamir accused them of attempting to undermine the Constitution’s integrity.
He reaffirmed the Congress party’s unwavering dedication to protecting constitutional values and ensuring justice, equality, and inclusivity for all citizens.

NPCC working president, Khriedi Theunuo, voiced deep concern over the BJP’s actions, stating that they are weakening the very foundation of the Constitution and tarnishing the legacies of stalwart leaders like Ambedkar and Gandhi.
Theunuo underscored that a nation like India cannot fulfil its people’s rights and aspirations without upholding the Constitution, which is essential to maintaining the country’s unity and democracy.
