Imphal: Alliance Air, a domestic airline, is set to enhance connectivity in the northeastern region by launching flights connecting Imphal, the capital of Manipur, with three new destinations.
Starting Wednesday, flights will be available from Imphal to Kolkata, Guwahati, and Dimapur in Nagaland, the Ministry of Civil Aviation announced.
Manipur’s Chief Minister, while addressing the media on Tuesday, emphasised that airfares in the region have been relatively high, but with the introduction of these new routes, the cost will not exceed Rs 5,000.
