Ampati: The Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, South West Garo Hills, successfully conducted its Annual Get-Together Programme from December 12 to 14 at Boldamgre Government Upper Primary School campus.
The Annual Get-Together Programme was held under Zikzak C&RD Block of South West Garo Hills.
With the theme “Our Thriving Future,” the event brought together over 135 participants, including 35 Scouts, 70 Guides, 10 Rovers, 12 Rangers, and 8 staff members.
The program featured Sanjay A. Sangma, MLA of Mahendraganj Constituency, as the Chief Guest on the second day.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA praised the efforts of the Scouts and Guides in shaping disciplined and responsible citizens, emphasizing the importance of youth-led initiatives in building a brighter future.
The three-day program featured an array of engaging activities and competitions designed to foster creativity, teamwork, and cultural appreciation.
Key events included a Cooking without Utensils competition, a Quiz competition, Cultural Song and Dance performances, and Drawing and Painting competitions.
These activities were skillfully coordinated under the leadership of District Secretary of Scouts and Guides, Pular D. Shira and District Organising Commissioner of Scouts and Guides, South West Garo Hills Debarson A. Sangma.
A cultural highlight of the closing night was a mesmerizing performance by local artist Silberth Abrio Sangma, which added to the spirit of celebration.
The event concluded with Chief Guest Sanjay A. Sangma, awarding prizes to the winners of the various competitions, encouraging the young participants to strive for excellence and contribute to a thriving future.
The annual get-together program reflects the core mission of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides to inspire young minds, promote leadership, and foster a sense of unity among the youth.
