The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Assam is on a mission to strengthen its grassroots presence by constructing permanent offices in all mandals across the state.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the initiative on Sunday, stating its role in fostering closer connections between the party and the people.

Most of these offices are expected to be operational before the 2026 Assembly elections, underscoring the party’s commitment to organizational expansion and accessibility.

Inaugurating the new office building of the Sualkuchi Mandal in Kamrup (Rural) district, Sarma expressed his delight at the progress.

the chief minister said, “Today marks a significant milestone for us as we open this state-of-the-art office building. It is equipped with modern facilities, reflecting our vision for a stronger and more organized party structure.”

“Our aim is to replicate such offices across all mandals in Assam,” he added.

Highlighting the strategic importance of the project, Sarma added, “These permanent offices will serve as hubs for addressing local issues effectively and strengthening our engagement with the community. By being closer to the people, we can better understand their concerns and respond proactively.”

The Chief Minister assured that the majority of the mandal offices would be completed before the state goes to the polls in 2026, signaling the BJP’s readiness for the upcoming electoral challenges.

The event was attended by Union Minister Pabitra Margherita and North Kamrup BJP president Subal Pal, along with other party leaders.

The initiative reflects the BJP’s focus on building robust infrastructure to enhance its grassroots reach, aiming to solidify its presence and address the aspirations of people across Assam.
