Honda has introduced the updated Amaze compact sedan in India, with prices starting at Rs. 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The launch comes shortly after Maruti Suzuki refreshed the Amaze’s key competitor, the Dzire, setting the stage for a tough battle in the segment.
The new Amaze facelift brings several design and feature updates, as seen in leaked images over recent weeks. With its refreshed styling, the Amaze now sports a sportier and more dynamic appearance.
It also comes equipped with much-needed feature enhancements, including the addition of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), making it the most affordable car in India to offer this cutting-edge technology.
Under the hood, the Honda Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine, available with either a manual or a CVT gearbox. While it faces stiff competition from the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the Hyundai Aura, and the Tata Tigor, the Amaze stands out with its radical design updates and advanced safety features.
Notably, the Tata Tigor adds variety to the competition with multiple powertrain options, including an all-electric variant, while the Hyundai Aura continues to hold strong appeal in the segment.
With this facelift, Honda aims to strengthen its position and appeal to Indian buyers looking for a stylish, feature-rich, and technologically advanced compact sedan.
