DIRANG: The National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS) celebrated its 11th Raising Day on Thursday, marking over a decade of excellence in training, adventure, and exploration.
The event was a significant milestone, attended by distinguished guests, alumni, instructors, and enthusiasts who have supported and participated in NIMAS’s journey.
The celebration began with vibrant cultural performances by local children of Dirang and NIMAS, creating a festive atmosphere.
This was followed by an inspiring speech by the Director of NIMAS, Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal, who reflected on the institute’s remarkable achievements and the dedication of its talented team.
Colonel Jamwal highlighted NIMAS’s commitment to promoting adventure sports and mountaineering while fostering a spirit of exploration and resilience.
“As we look to the future, let us be guided by our shared vision and commitment to excellence. Together, we will continue to inspire, educate, and transform lives through the power of adventure and exploration,” Colonel Jamwal said.
Looking ahead, NIMAS outlined its strategic goals and future projects aimed at expanding its training programs, fostering international collaborations, and promoting sustainable adventure tourism.
“We are at the forefront of adventure and exploration, driven by our passion for excellence and our dedication to nurturing a culture of safety, skill, and sustainability in the world of mountaineering and adventure sports,” said Col Gulshan Chadha, Founder of NIMAS and the chief guest of the event.
Director Jamwal also shared the institute’s long-term vision to further strengthen its position as India’s outdoor university and contribute to personal growth and environmental stewardship.
The 11th Raising Day celebration concluded with a renewed call to action for continued support and participation in NIMAS’s initiatives.
