GUWAHATI: Assam’s cricket sensation, Riyan Parag, has warmly invited his fellow Assamese to support his team Rajasthan Royals in their upcoming IPL matches at the ACA Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.

In a heartfelt video message, Parag expressed the team’s satisfaction with their strong start in the IPL season, expressing their desire to maintain momentum and clinch the coveted trophy this year.

Inviting the people of Assam to rally behind the Rajasthan Royals during their two matches in Guwahati, Parag highlighted the significance of playing in front of his hometown crowd, acknowledging the unwavering support he has received throughout his career.

“We’ve had a great start to this IPL season. I hope the people will fill the stadiums and support RR as it’s my home ground. These two games mean a lot to me, and it’s always special to perform in front of the Assam crowd,” he shared.

With challenging matchups against formidable opponents like Punjab Kings on May 15 and Kolkata Knight Riders on May 19 at the ACA Barsapara Stadium, cricket enthusiasts anticipate thrilling encounters filled with excitement and fierce competition.

Under the dynamic leadership of Sanju Samson, the Rajasthan Royals are determined to deliver stellar performances, fuelled by the unwavering support of their loyal fan base in Assam.

As both matches hold critical importance for the team’s IPL journey, Parag and his teammates are committed to showcasing their best on the field, aiming to secure victories and advance to the knockout stages.

As a token of appreciation for the support showered by fans in Assam, the franchise has arranged a meet-and-greet session with their head coach, Kumar Sangakkara, for cricketers under the age of 16 and 19, ahead of the RR matches scheduled for May 15 and 19.

Earlier, speaking at a press conference held at Barsapara Cricket Stadium on April 18, the Royals’ management elaborated that during the gathering, the seasoned middle-order batsman will impart valuable insights to the budding cricketers of the state.

With anticipation reaching a fever pitch for these exhilarating encounters, cricket aficionados eagerly await the action-packed showdowns at the ACA Barsapara Stadium.
